I credit my mother with the earliest beginnings of Nikita7. Ever since I was old enough to write, Mom always said, "It's just common courtesy to write a Thank You note when you receive a gift." Or more likely, "It doesn't matter if you don't like it, you still need to thank your grandmother for it." Although I didn't exactly enjoy it in the beginning, I soon came to appreciate the art of writing a nice note. More importantly, I realized the fun in choosing the card on which it was written. I've always appreciated paper - whether it's handmade from Nepal or just a simple, yet stunning magazine ad, I began saving snippets of my favorites. Not knowing exactly how to use them, I started making them into cards. The vintage photographs came next, as I discovered that my own family albums were full of some real "gems," and can be seen in many of my top selling cards.
